Danny Palmer is a journalist and writer with over 13 years experience of reporting on enterprise IT, much of which has been focused on covering cybersecurity. His previous roles include three and a half years as Staff Writer at Computing Magazine, followed by seven years as Senior Reporter at ZDNet. Then, after two years working as Head of Editorial at a cybersecurity company, he's been a freelance writer and editorial consultant since early 2025, with bylines in publications including Computer Weekly, The Register and The Stack.
