We haven't surveyed our listenership in detail, and Apple iTunes doesn't offer any demographic information about our listeners. However, we think it's fair to assume that our listenership is largely made up of people who are interested in and responsible for protecting businesses against security threats.
In both 2018 and 2019, "Smashing Security" won the title of "Best Security Podcast" at the Security Blogger Awards held at Infosec, London.
Each weekly episode of the show is typically downloaded over 25,000 times in its first four weeks of release. 43.7% of our downloads are from the United States, followed by the UK in second place at 19.9%.
Sponsors get a promotional slot in the actual episode, as well as the episode's show notes and webpage. We are happy to read an agreed script, but we do suggest that sponsors let us run with it, so we can add more flair, personality and immediacy to increase engagement.
We will also publicize the links to our Twitter followers at @SmashinSecurity, and put links to your promotions into the show notes.
In addition, opportunities exist for sponsors to appear in 15-minute featured interviews included within the podcast.
